About the Role:
As Airport Director, you’ll be at the forefront of strategic leadership, ensuring seamless operations, regulatory compliance, and top-tier service delivery. Reporting to the Managing Director and serving on the Ports Board, this is a high-profile role with responsibility for operational infrastructure, team leadership, and financial planning.
Airport Director
Location: Guernsey
Salary: £112,000 + 10.5% Pension
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive operational excellence across Guernsey and Alderney Airports.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and prioritize safety and security.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver strategic goals and transformation projects.
- Manage budgets, business plans, and operational teams to ensure efficiency and growth.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, airlines, and the public to enhance service delivery and the airports’ reputation.
We’re looking for a dynamic and motivated leader with:
- Extensive experience in Airport management and operational expertise.
- Ability to demonstrate to the Civil Aviation Authority and Director of Civil Aviation (Channel Islands) that the post holder is fit to hold the role of Accountable Manager.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- The ability to foster collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
- A business leadership qualification and experience in a regulatory environment.
