Are you an experienced Engineering Manager with a B1 license looking for an exciting opportunity in Devon? Our client is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their team and help lead their base maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll assist and deputise for the General Manager, coordinating the day-to-day running of base maintenance, including support shops and services. You’ll manage contractor requirements, liaise with onsite customer representatives, and allocate manpower levels to ensure the best outcomes for customers and the business.
You’ll also ensure training requirements are met, conduct staff reviews, and participate in the recruitment and selection process. Addressing safety or quality issues and ensuring minimal quality audit findings will be part of your responsibilities. You’ll work closely with sales resources to identify new opportunities and coordinate customer slot requests.

Core Competencies:

We’re looking for someone with a high degree of commercial awareness in the base maintenance business. You should have strong analytical, decision-making, planning, and organisational skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Leadership and negotiation skills are essential, as is proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of compliance with organisational policies.
You’ll contribute to a friendly work environment dedicated to delivering the best product to customers. A willingness to invest in your personal development and the ability to obtain Form 4 approval from the UK CAA are also important. Knowledge of maintenance planning and work recording systems like DALsys, Visaer, SAP, or AMOS would be an advantage.

Your Profile : 
  • Ability to qualify and hold an Airside Pass at the airport and headquarters in Dublin if required.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to pass a 5-year security background check.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK without restriction at the time of application.
