Job Purpose:
The Head of OCC leads the operations control team, overseeing flight preparation, tracking, and managing day-to-day operations. This role ensures smooth operations, compliance, and efficiency while planning for the company's growth and maintaining service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- OCC Management: Lead daily operations, overseeing flight schedules, crew management, and handling any disruptions while adhering to regulations.
- Operational Oversight: Conduct flight feasibility checks, verify crew qualifications, manage fuel loads, and coordinate handling and permits for all flights.
- Vendor Management: Monitor third-party services, including handling agents, FBOs, and fuel suppliers, to maintain operational standards.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to international aviation regulations, including safety, immigration, and tax rules.
- Reporting & Systems: Maintain operational records, manage OCC software, and ensure timely reporting.
- Team Development: Support team recruitment, training, and performance evaluations, ensuring the team grows in line with business needs.
- Education: Flight Dispatcher License or recognized Flight Operations Officer Diploma.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in flight dispatch/operations control, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Skills: Strong understanding of international flight planning, crew control, and FTL regulations. Proficiency with flight planning software (ForeFlight, PPS) and communication systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Excellent English, both verbal and written; additional languages are a plus.
