Job Title: Head of Sales 

Location: London
Salary: £90,000

Role Purpose:

The Head of Sales will lead and develop a UK-based sales team, driving new business growth, maintaining exceptional customer relationships, and ensuring team and individual performance meets or exceeds targets. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales responsibilities, making it ideal for a motivated, results-driven professional.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Leadership & Business Development
  • Lead and motivate a regional sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and convert profitable new sales opportunities across the UK and Ireland.
  • Develop a strong sales pipeline, accurately forecasting revenue and ensuring CRM tools are effectively utilized.
  • Foster strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive retention and growth.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, enhancing brand visibility.
2. Strategic Account & Opportunity Management
  • Oversee high-value RFP and RFQ responses, ensuring commercial alignment and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to the team on complex sales opportunities.
3. Team Development & Performance Management
  • Create a high-performance team culture, conducting regular appraisals and fostering career growth.
  • Set clear objectives for team members, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Act as a mentor and coach, supporting team members in achieving their individual and collective targets.
4. Market Awareness & Brand Development
  • Collaborate with marketing to drive regional brand awareness and develop sales materials.
  • Track and enhance the company's position in the market through improved collateral and strategic initiatives.
What You Bring:
  • Proven experience in sales leadership within the aerospace, logistics, or related industries.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships, driving both retention and new business.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence customers and team members.
  • Commercially minded, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to create presentations and analyze data.
  • A self-motivated and tenacious professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly as required.
