Due to an internal promotion, our client are seeking a determined and highly motivated Duty Manager to join their team at their Malta Head Office. This role involves operating on a 12-hour shift basis, covering a mixture of day and night shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation.
The Duty Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and serve as a central decision-maker, ensuring the seamless coordination of Operations, Flight Support, Client Service, Crew Planning, and Maintenance Operations Control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Place the customer at the center of all decisions, ensuring their needs remain the top priority.
- Lead and delegate tasks effectively to maintain team efficiency throughout the shift.
- Coordinate responses to daily operational issues, such as AOGs, delays, and weather-related disruptions.
- Collaborate with Client Services and other commercial teams to plan and execute service recoveries.
- Maintain oversight of high-profile and demonstration flights.
- Work closely with flight operations management to ensure compliance with operational specifications.
- Direct all functions within the operations arena to optimize fleet performance, considering aircraft availability, maintenance schedules, operational restrictions, customer preferences, and crew welfare.
- Key management experience leading a large operations department.
- Experience in global operations.
- Extensive operational and dispatch experience within an airline or business aviation organisation.
- Large fleet experience – 100+ (50+ if private/business aviation company).
- 3-5 years in management position.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Exceptional track record in the relevant field and a demonstrated ability to acquire cross-departmental competence during the training phase.
