About the Role
GOOSE Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a prestigious VIP and corporate aviation operator delivering 24/7, world-class flight services. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the flight operations team, ensuring seamless, efficient, and safety-driven aircraft operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for an aviation professional with private aviation management experience, strong flight planning expertise, and a proactive leadership approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and execution of all company aircraft operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Manage flight support activities, including permits, handling, fuel arrangements, NOTAM analysis, and emergency response.
- Conduct airport and route feasibility checks to optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of slots, clearances, and route approvals.
- Coordinate and oversee 3rd party rotary charter bookings.
- Monitor real-time operational changes (CTOTs, diversions, re-routes) and implement contingency plans.
- Lead, train, and mentor the Operations Team, ensuring consistency in service excellence.
- Maintain oversight of daily operations, ensuring workload distribution and adherence to company SOPs.
- Conduct quality audits and spot checks to maintain operational integrity.
- Work closely with regulatory bodies, aircraft manufacturers, and maintenance teams to ensure fleet airworthiness.
- Manage catering requirements and oversee crew travel arrangements.
- Develop and implement fuel procurement policies in coordination with finance.
- Oversee and manage FBO and ground handling providers, ensuring seamless on-ground operations.
- Integrate company Safety Management Systems (SHE, Life Saving Rules, and 20 Principles) into daily operations.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Extensive experience in Part NCC aviation management.
Strong knowledge of flight planning and ATC systems.
Competency in modern Flight Operating Systems (Leon, MyAirOps, FOS).
Experience with global flight planning using tools like ForeFlight/JeppFD Pro.
Familiarity with Part NCC FTLs, NOTAMs, and METAR/TAF weather analysis.
