GOOSE Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading Approved Training Organisation (ATO) and Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) operator in the search for a Compliance Monitoring & Safety Manager (CMSM). This is a key Postholder role as defined under EASA Part-ORA regulations.
Location: Remote or based at facilities in Burgess Hill, UK
Employment Type: Part-time (8 days per month / 16 hours per week)
Flexibility: Hybrid working available; on-site presence required for regulatory visits
Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Accountable Manager, the CMSM will be responsible for:
- Monitoring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements under EASA Part-ORA and equivalent UK CAA regulations.
- Ensuring adherence to the provisions outlined in the Operations, Training, and Safety Management Manuals.
- Implementing, maintaining, and continually improving the compliance monitoring programme.
- Managing the Quality System to ensure compliance with UK CAA/EASA Part-ORA regulations.
- Preparing and managing simulator dossiers for UK CAA/EASA Initial Evaluations and Re-evaluations.
- Coordinating simulator evaluations and ensuring seamless execution of assessments.
- Preparing and overseeing EASA Part-ORA Compliance Management System audits with the CAA on a biannual basis.
- Conducting audits with suitable personnel and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Facilitating hazard identification, risk analysis, and risk management.
- Monitoring the implementation of risk mitigation measures.
- Maintaining the Safety Management System (SMS) and ensuring all safety documentation is up to date.
- Providing safety management training to ensure compliance with acceptable standards.
- Acting as the focal point for all safety-related matters.
- Conducting an annual review of quality procedures.
- Supporting customer audits remotely and on-site as required.
- Safety Management System (SMS) training to the required level.
- Compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to company procedures.
- Reporting potential non-compliance, hazards, or risks to the Accountable Manager.
- Proactively recommending improvements to processes and procedures.
- Attendance on-site for any regulatory authority visits is essential.
